Chowchilla Curbside Clean-Up

The week of September 17-22 is set for the Curbside Clean-up in Chowchilla. This service provided by Mid Valley Disposal and the City of Chowchilla is ONLY for single-family homeowners and residents in the city limits. NO county or commercial customers are allowed.

Greenhills residents and those in the Villas and on Granite Falls Way and Golden Sands Way will not have a curbside pickup because of narrow streets. Instead there will be THREE DROP-OFF LOCATIONS where accepted items can be taken. Debris can be dropped off on Friday and Saturday, September 21-22. Refer to the flyer for details.

The Curbside Clean-up for customers east of Highway 99 will be Monday through Thursday, September 17-20. Refer to the flyer for details.

Curbside Clean-up provides a way to get rid of bulky items and items not normally accepted in the regular trash pick-up service. Debris is to be placed in the street at the curb for collection on the assigned day for your neighborhood. Refer to the map to determine your specific day.

DO NOT PUT OUT DEBRIS SOONER THAN 48-HOURS (2 DAYS) BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED CLEAN-UP DATE.

Debris placed at the curb after your scheduled date WILL NOT BE PICKED UP and must be removed by the property resident WITHIN 24-HOURS after your date.

Be sure to check the ACCEPTED ITEMS list and the ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED list before putting debris out to the curb.

Debris MUST BE PLACED IN THE STREET at least 6-inches from the curb. DO NOT put debris on the boulevard between the sidewalk and the street curb, as it won’t be picked up. DO NOT BLOCK gutter drain inlets, mailboxes or fire hydrants.

If you have questions call the Chowchilla Public Works at (559) 665-8615, ext. 789. Please leave a message with your telephone number if staff is not available to immediately take your call.
