The City prefers applications to be submitted electronically through CalOpps, but a hard-copy application will be accepted. All applicants will be assessed on the fully completed and signed application along with any supplemental materials that are submitted. This information will be carefully evaluated. Resumes are an important screening tool. Applications (when required) that are not accompanied by resumes (optional if not required) may be more difficult to assess. Do not substitute any part of the application form with the words "see resume." Incomplete applications will be rejected. All required certifications and education requirements will be verified. All materials submitted becomes the property of the City of Chowchilla.
Only those candidates who best meet the qualifications will be invited to participate in the selection process that may be administered by written examination, oral interview, or any combination as deemed to be appropriate for the position. Successful candidates on this part of the process will be placed on an eligibility list, valid for one year. The top candidates will be invited for an interview.

Employment Examinations & Verification
As a condition of employment with the City of Chowchilla a candidate must pass an employment medical examination and drug test provided by a health care professional designated by the City.
