Term Ends: December 2026

Jeff Troost is a fourth-generation California Dairy Farmer. He grew up in Southern California, where he graduated from Ontario Christian High School in 1985. As farms made way for freeways, the family business was relocated to Chowchilla in 1993. The Family Business now employs 23 local people and is supported by countless other small businesses providing goods and services. In 2019 Jeff’s business received the Chowchilla Chamber of Commerce Heritage Award. Jeff was raised to care for his animals, treat people fairly, and be a good steward of his resources.

Jeff and his wife Dana raised their four sons in the Chowchilla community, where they have been active in Youth and High School sports, 4-H, FCA, and Cornerstone Community Church. Jeff’s business is a member of the Chowchilla Chamber of Commerce and a supporter of the local Fair. Jeff also served a term on the Chowchilla Heritage Preservation Commission.

Jeff has served and currently serves on various dairy industry and church boards and is a strong believer in being involved and giving back. Jeff is quick to listen and slow to speak but stands strongly for what is right and honorable.

Jeff vows to keep public safety, economic development, and pride in our community as his top priorities. One of Jeff’s heroes, Abraham Lincoln, once famously said, “The legitimate object of government is ‘to do for the people what needs to be done, but which they can not, by individual effort, do at all, or do so well, for themselves.’”
