The Chowchilla Municipal Code identifies a business as professions, trades, and occupations (including home occupations), both for profit and non-profit.

Once you have provided your completed application along with the appropriate payment, it can take up to ten (10) working days for departmental approval. If the business operates in a structure located within the Chowchilla city limits a fire inspection is required. That can take up to an additional ten (10) working days to process, complete and release the business license.
