City of Chowchilla Elections Code Sec 21130f Disclosure Report

Like hundreds of cities and school districts across the state, the City of Chowchilla is changing how voters elect its City Council. Beginning in 2024, voters will vote for one City Council Member who lives in their district. This will replace the current system of at-large citywide elections, in which voters can vote for all City Council Members. The City will continue to update this webpage with relevant information and documents related to the transition process.

Draft Maps were posted to the website on May 7, 2024, and the City was made aware that the maps contained inaccurate statistics. The city has addressed those and updated the statistics; both versions of the obsolete and corrected maps can be found on the draft maps tab.  To be clear, the map lines have not changed.
