The City Administrator provides day to day leadership of personnel and manages all City departments under the direction of the City Council. The position evaluates City government to assure its operation is efficient and provides an atmosphere that ensures all citizens receive fair and equitable service.
The City of Chowchilla contracts with Cota Cole, LLP Attorneys to provide City Attorney services. The firm provides legal support and advice to the City Council, Boards, Commissions, Committees and City staff.

Chowchilla Area Transit (CATX)
The City of Chowchilla operates a local curb-to-curb, demand-response dial-a-ride transit service in the local area of Chowchilla through Chowchilla Area Transit (CATX).

The Community and Economic Development Department guides and facilitates projects and development activities within the City to provide a standard of development that preserves the health, safety, general welfare and quality of life for residents.
The Finance Department assures that the financial and procurement policies, practices, and records of the City comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations while maintaining a system of controls to safeguard the City's financial resources.
The Information Technology (IT) Division covers planning, implementation, development, security and support of the IT system network for the City of Chowchilla.
The mission of the Chowchilla Volunteer Fire Department is to protect the people and property of Chowchilla from fire danger, hazards, and hazardous conditions. Local volunteers donate their time to educate the citizens on the importance of fire safety.
The Chowchilla Police Department plays an integral part in helping City government and the City Council fulfill its mission of providing the community of Chowchilla and its visitors with a safe, clean and healthy way of life.
The Public Works Department is here to serve the community by providing airport, street, solid waste, water, wastewater, and storm water services. It contributes to the health, well-being, and convenience of citizens, visitors, business, and industry by operating and maintaining the City's streets, drinking water, wastewater and storm water systems for long-term service.
The Recreation Division manages and presents City community events, programs and services.
